Perfect Companion App

I first reviewed this app November 8th, 2012. It’s now Apr. 2014, and it still has a dominant place on my phone and automatically launches on start on my desktop. This continues to be a rock in my whirlwind of a workflow, and let’s me manage multiple lists and projects with ease. Can’t say enough about it. This app does what it says it does, just like Clear for the iPhone. Its an ideal companaion application, and finally lets you sync your lists from your Mac & iPhone. Its just as intuitive as the iPhone version. If youre looking for email reminders, times, etc, this application isnt for you. But if you want a simple list application, and you want to be able to share it from your iPhone to your Mac, Clear is fantastic. It wont appeal to everyone, but its great for those who "get it."

Great update

I really like the new reminders function. Thanks for the update! Here are some suggestions/requests: • set a different color to different lists (home - green, work - red, shopping - blue, etc.). • set different fonts and their colors: reading white text on the yellow Sunflowers theme doesn’t work well… • drop email messages from the Mail app, so that the email message will open, like in the Reminders app. • add notes Overall, great app!

Reminders clutters the UI

I don’t need or use the reminders/alarms setting, so now it’s just clutter in the UI. Makes the app lose its simplicity a little.

Amazing todo program

Simple and intuitive. It just works!

So good.

I have bounced around to so many different todo programs, I keep coming back to this one. For many reasons: 1. Simple, easy and fast input or clearing. 2. The background sync is not like any other (easy and painfree), no pending, no refresh, just works. 3. pretty. The only ‘they should do this’ is: 1. The same way you set a reminder for the day, it pops out and is easy and can use the mouse, need for the timeframe! Annoyance, but I get over it quick 2. Recurring events, I know its logistically a nightmare, but its the only reason I have left clear in the past. Nail that, and its irreplaceable! Love it…keep it up!

Clean and simple

Part of my everyday flow for the past 4 months. If you have the iOS app, it’s need it.

Simple is good.

I have tried many to do apps, and Clear is one of my favourites because of its simple, charming interface. You can choose from various themes and sounds, set reminders, and create lists. It also syncs quickly and reliably. 99% of the time, Clear is all I need for keeping track of my work. Recommended.

Great, clean and simple App! With some potential to get even better.

I was testing several Todo-List Apps and was looking for a very simple, decluttered one. Clear convinced me because of the clean looks without all the toolbars, talking screen-space, I was used from other Apps. I’m aware, that wanted features are very personal and everyone is looking for something else. Anyways, if you want to add some features I’d love to be able to quickly move one or several list items from one list to another. Keep up the great work!

Please update for iOS 8

I have just bought the app and it seems very nice and so quick to use! - PLEASE, make an update for iOS8! The Icloud sync is not working from iOS to OSX… (works well for iPhone to iPad) - An option to control the sounds volume would be very appreciated. - 15$ (OSX + iOS) is very expensive for a simple app like this... I would definitely recommand the pack if it was lower than 10$. Nice app! But very expensive...

Great app

I have this mac on my iPhone and my Mac. I love it! The developers are very helpful and supportive. They gave me very detailed instructions on how to update this app with the new iCloud drive which caused some issues.

iCloud Sync fails

I bought Clear for Mac and Phone and iPad as well. I spent countless hours trying to make the sync work, alas to no avail. All the vague suggestions in the FAQ and an “article”, uninstall, re-install aöö Apps on all devioces, disable iCloud and re-enable it on all devices, all without success. Useless to me, awaste of time and money.

Wonderful Simplicity

Great App! I have it on my iPhone, iPad and Macbook and works seemlessly. I use it daily to keep on track of everything and its simplicity makes it easy to commit to using as it doesn’t require more than a quick jot of a thought. I’ve tried most list apps available and yet always come back to Clear. If you use to-do lists, this is THE best choice.

Works Just Fine on iOS 8 and Yosemite in Canada too.

I’m writing this to correct earlier reviews suggesting there are problems with iOS 8 and OS-X and iCloud. I transitioned to iOS 8 and, later, OS-X Yosemite with never a hiccup in Clear synching using iCloud. The apps were purchased through the Canadian AppStore and are still there [sometimes there is a delay of a few hours as updates are rolled-out worldwide - I cant comment if there was brief delay with Clear arriving in Canada]. I’m sorry others have had issues; probelms are not affecting user. Today, I bought Clear’s PRODUCT-RED theme to help provide care to AIDS patients internationally and mark Workd AIDS Day, Dec 1.

Once great, now broken

I loved its simplicity and speed. But it doesn’t sync with the iOS version over iCloud Drive, and the instructions for making it do so don’t work. Why does it happen so often that good apps break when they are (supposedly) improved? I have cleared(!) Clear from all I’m devices. I’m now using Errands, which syncs very well, though it requires too many clicks.

iCloud Snc broken

Since the last update there is no more sync between Iphone and Mac. Please fix it.

Becoming less useful over time.

What started out as a promising app has developed into a mediocre one. Once Realmac introduced reminders, the app has suffered from issues with sync and alerts, as well as practicality. If you are going to add reminders, have the sense to add a repeating time frame. Don’t ask users to recreate lists over and over again. Also, make sure alerts actually work. Issues with slow sync and alerts not sounding have made this app essentially useless. I find Reminders by Apple in Yosemite a lot more useful and it actually works the way I want it to. Realmac has ignored numerous requests for obvious features for the past year, and seem only interested in charging users for cutesy features like new themes and sounds. I should have listened to the criticisms for this developer before spending any money. Booted this app off my dock. Other than grocery lists, I cannot see how this app can compare to the alternatives available. Yes, the gestures are wonderful, but is that enough for an app in this category? They should have kept its simplicity intact and added well though out features along the way.

OK on IOS but doesn’t sync

Not a bad list manager on the iPhone but useless in synching across systems. Have repeatedly tried to debug the sync with iCloud, even deleting and reinstalling the application on my desktop machine. Guidelines from Realmac fo fixing this don’t work. I have given up using it for anything but an iPhone application.

Useless sync

Sync does not work. Amazing that these guys can’t fix something as crucial as sync with iphone. I’d of voted a 0 if possible.

iCloud sync not working anymore!!

Please fix the iCloud sync asap..useless at the moment. THANKS

Still the best todo app out there

Yeah, from time to time, I’ve also had issues with syncing. But the simplicity and accessibility of Clear FAR outweigh any syncing issues. This is task management at its finest. I rock the RED theme.
