Please Fix iCloud Sync

I love the iOS app, and really want to use it on my Mac. But none of my lists will sync. Please fix the iCloud sync feature, since without it the app is unusable. Thank you

Great to do list app, but persistent issues with iCloud sync

I’ve used and loved Clear for years. It provides just the right amount of structure and complexity to keep track of my actual todos without accumulating hundreds of tasks I’ll never have time for. The mobile app is in my iOS dock and is my go-to for jotting something down on the go, and the OS X app is simple and unobtrusive. My only complaint is the iCloud syncing, which stops working every few weeks. The iOS app always seems to work fine, but the OS X app can get into a broken state that requires tedious troubleshooting to resolve. I hope they implement a more robust and reliable sync feature soon!

Clearly iCloud is broken

Love the app but won’t sync with iCloud at all, on iMac, on iPad Air 2, on iPod Touch (latest version), all devices have latest software and OS/iOS. Fix it or it is useless. If it worked it would be my super handy really essential. That is Clear-ly simple. FIX iCloud or drop the app.

In need of some fixing!

This was a great app, however it doesn’t play nice with iCloud…too bad.

iCloud syncing doesn’t work

I don’t have any more time to waste on apps whose usefulness depends on iCloud.

wanted to love it…but...

I absolutely love the iOS version, but the Mac version has one issue that I just can’t live with. The lack of proper syncing. It sometimes takes a few days to properly sync up with my iPhone. My iPhone and two iPads always sync right away. If that would work smoothly I’d gladly up my rating to 5 stars.

What happened to the developer? Support has disappeared!

I loved this app. In the past I have gone online to troubleshoot syncing issues and read the how to manual. Tonight, when trying to deal with a new issue, I am stunned to find that the Clear App developer "Realmac Software" seems to have dropped off the planet. When in the app, if I go to “Help” i get a notice that the site for help with regard to Clear is no longer operative !! Even the link here in the App store to go to support is a broken link! (“If you need support, please visit…….” goes nowhere). This is a real shock, I have an issue, I need help, and there seems to be nowhere to go to get that help. There is a “forum” on the Realmac Software website but none of the participants are discussing the Clear app. What on earth ? I hope the founder sees this review because there is no way he or she is justified in charging money for an app for which there is NO support.

Mac Application--iCloud Drive not working

Seriously, it looks like someone else ran into the same problem in 2015. It’s 2016 now.. why hasn’t this been fixed yet? Clear is not acknowledging that all settings are enabled properly to sync with iCloud Drive. If anyone has found a solution to this—please let me know. Thanks!

Elegant Simplicity

update - downgraded rating to 3 stars. Syncing has become unreliable. Sometimes it syncs, sometimes it doesn’t. Can’t figure out any reason or pattern to the problem. Read the critical views and you’ll see this is a commonly reported problem. If they would at least just put a “Sync Now” option I’d be satisfied. But the more lists and items I have, the less reliably syncing has become. Original review - This is my most used app on four devices. Why can’t all apps be this clean, efficient and simple? I don’t know why people complain about syncing. It works flawlessly for me on phone, pad, desktop and laptop. Be sure to read the instructions to learn how to easily drag items across lists on the desktop version. Initially, I thought the desktop version was limited compared to the ipad but all it took was 5 minutes reading the help files to figure everything out.

icloud sync dealbreaker

Useless app without icloud sync. If this is fixed, I would change my review, hell I’d buy your stupid soundpacks. Fix the simple $h17 please. At least they should talk about what is going on.

So far so good.

I’m a big fan of their iPhone app. I’m glad there’s a desktop app too. My boss doesnt like people on their cell phones at their desks. It looks like we’re slacking. The desktop app helps me work around closed-minded professionals. I installed and started organizing. My iPhone lists were waiting for me on the desktop to be sorted and organized. For those of you who are faster with desktops/laptops than mobile devices, this app is for you. I feel decluttered and organized. Thanks, Clear Team!

I loved it …but

The app stopped syncing with cloud and can’t keep my devices synced. This is too bad, because about to drop ti completely. Have reinstalled everywhere, iPad, Mac and phone…..rebooted so to speak iCloud…etc…….followed the suggestions from the prompt I get…..no dice…….it is quickly becoming worthless to me

Clever & Easy

I love Clear! Its vibrant colors command your attention, but its simple view makes you want to get your work done without making you feel overwhelmed. One thing I can’t seem to figure out & I’m guessing isn’t an option, is how to move something from one list to another. So far I’ve just had to manually enter it in another list. If anyone knows how, please tell me what to do! It quickly syncs between devices, between iPhone & iMac, for me. Love the color choices. It’s a nice option compared to Apple’s own Reminders, which I have a love/hate relationship with. In Reminders, often if I’m working, it becomes unresponsive, & then quits unexpectedly, or it will move the order of my lists, something that really frustrates me. I love everything Apple but that app has some kinks that need working out. I have tried all the other “best-rated” like Todoist & Wunderlist, Any.do, & Awesome Note, didn’t love any of them. Clear I love & find it to be user friendly, clean, & well, clear. Def. a great find in the world of apps!

So simple, but it works!

This app is truly easy to use: Put in your tasks. Swipe to complete, or swipe the other way to erase. Easily customizable, not just for the “skins” for the way it looks, but moving tasks up and down, lists up and down. I use it for shopping lists, to do lists, a list of daily vitamins/medications, and so much more! The fact that it syncs seamlessly between all your devices (Mac, iPhone, and iPad) makes it so convenient. They’ve added features such as “teams”, where you can sync your lists with other people. I’ve been using Clear for about two years, and they just keep adding features, at no extra charge, and constantly keep it up-to-date with Apple OS and iOS updates. Highest recommendation!
